Stitches again!!!

...And football season hasn't even begun yet! Josh was waiting on the bleachers with all the other kids at school to get his uniform (?) is that what you call it? football gear I guess...for Spring training. And the kids were throwing wiffle balls around and one pounded Josh right in the temple (he said he didn't see it coming and didn't even blink) and immediately his eye got super red and bloodshot and he said he remembers getting dizzy and hot and sweaty and next thing he knows he is on the ground with his coach and team surrounding him waking him up. He passed out for a few seconds and landed on the ground hitting his head and splitting his chin open. He said when he woke up he thought he was dreaming and that he had been sleeping for hours. He was disoriented and dizzy. The athletic trainer came in and asked him questions he was able to answer but he couldn't follow his finger with his eyes at first. He took care of his chin and stopped the bleeding. By the time I got to the school he was O.K., as white as a ghost though and very tired...wanted to lay down and sleep. In shock a bit I think. I immediately took him over to urgent care and he was totally able to read the eye chart and follow with his eyes by this time. So, the doctor stitched up his chin (Nate was so proud Josh got stitches in the same place he had them a few years ago). And the doctor did a cat scan yesterday morning just to play safe...everything looked good! I just have to keep an eye on his vision but seems to be fine. So funny though, when he got home from urgent care Monday night, Nate runs over to him and says, "O.K. Josh..who threw the ball??? I'll give him one of these" (as he makes a fist and pounds his other hand). The little brother taking care of his big brother! Josh is feeling much better now, went to school today. The doctor said no Spring training though this week but he can go next week. We'll get the stitches out Monday. Please just pray that it didn't affect his vision, don't think it did though. If he starts seeing wavy lines or spots or anything then we'll have to go see an eye specialist but so far so good!
