WHAT I WAS DOING 20 YEARS AGO:
I was going to college at Iowa State Univ.; but my boyfriend at the time (cause' he's now my hubby!) moved from Calif. to Illinois (where my parents lived) and proposed to me! We got married a year later and moved back to Calif. where I continued college at C.S.U.N.
WHAT I WAS DOING 15 YEARS AGO:
Having our first baby! Joshua was born the end of January.
WHAT I WAS DOING 10 YEARS AGO:
Having our 3rd baby! Nathanael (Nate) was born in June. Our 2nd son, Jacob was almost 2. And, Joshua was starting Kindergarten that year. That was a BUSY year as I recall!
WHAT I WAS DOING 5 YEARS AGO:
A very busy mom of 3 wonderful boys! Nate began Kindergarten...I cried and wanted another baby!
WHAT I WAS DOING 1 YEAR AGO:
Moving from California to South Carolina. Celebrating our daughter, Hannah's 1st birthday!
WHAT I WAS DOING YESTERDAY:
Let's see...After I got my kids all off to school and cleaned the kitchen, etc., I played with Hannah a bit (built her a choo choo train track I recall), I went to my kids' bookfair at school and Hannah and I had lunch with them in the cafeteria (she loves eating lunch at her brother's school), I went to the grocery store, put Hannah down for a nap and did some laundry, took Nate to a sleepover at his friends house, and went to the high school to watch Josh's football team play their Spring game. That was pretty much my day in a nutshell!
NOW I TAG:
Pam
Kim
everyone else has been tagged that I know has a blog!

Stitches again!!!
...And football season hasn't even begun yet! Josh was waiting on the bleachers with all the other kids at school to get his uniform (?) is that what you call it? football gear I guess...for Spring training. And the kids were throwing wiffle balls around and one pounded Josh right in the temple (he said he didn't see it coming and didn't even blink) and immediately his eye got super red and bloodshot and he said he remembers getting dizzy and hot and sweaty and next thing he knows he is on the ground with his coach and team surrounding him waking him up. He passed out for a few seconds and landed on the ground hitting his head and splitting his chin open. He said when he woke up he thought he was dreaming and that he had been sleeping for hours. He was disoriented and dizzy. The athletic trainer came in and asked him questions he was able to answer but he couldn't follow his finger with his eyes at first. He took care of his chin and stopped the bleeding. By the time I got to the school he was O.K., as white as a ghost though and very tired...wanted to lay down and sleep. In shock a bit I think. I immediately took him over to urgent care and he was totally able to read the eye chart and follow with his eyes by this time. So, the doctor stitched up his chin (Nate was so proud Josh got stitches in the same place he had them a few years ago). And the doctor did a cat scan yesterday morning just to play safe...everything looked good! I just have to keep an eye on his vision but seems to be fine. So funny though, when he got home from urgent care Monday night, Nate runs over to him and says, "O.K. Josh..who threw the ball??? I'll give him one of these" (as he makes a fist and pounds his other hand). The little brother taking care of his big brother! Josh is feeling much better now, went to school today. The doctor said no Spring training though this week but he can go next week. We'll get the stitches out Monday. Please just pray that it didn't affect his vision, don't think it did though. If he starts seeing wavy lines or spots or anything then we'll have to go see an eye specialist but so far so good!

Mother's Day
My kids presented me with this award Sunday morning...it's one of those huge cards...too cute! I am still trying to figure out where I should hang it...any suggestions??? (very important to my kids!)
And Jacob made me this flower at school...gotta love that face! (Don't know how long he's going to let me keep it out on the counter though. ) I told him it looks perfect here...he said "No way!" (Hasn't moved it yet though!)
And my sweet little darlings know I've been wanting a new bike...one of those nastalgic (?) ones with a basket on the front! I guess they are saving so they printed this out for me for now...isn't that sweet??? I had been trying to decide between the pink or yellow...I guess they chose pink. What do you think???? Suppose I should just them let choose...they are so excited about it. Now I am going to need one of those baby carriage things to pull with the bike so we can all go for bike rides together. We used to have a seat that Bill put on the back of his bike but got rid of that long ago and that was so hard for me to balance...think this will be much easier. And to top all this off...Hannah and daddy made me a cake together. Bill's very first cake....didn't rise or anything but hey...it's the thought, right???

A day at the beach...
Off we go!!!
Hannah LOVES playing in the sand!
and kicking back!
family fun...digging!!!
The boys love boogyboarding and bodysurfing the waves!
Jacob decides he wants to be buried...
and Hannah finds a comfy seat to sit on!
Bill and the boys let me choose whatever I'd like to do for Mother's Day each year...so this year I chose to go to "Isle of Palms" beach in Charleston for the afternoon. We did this a day early on Saturday since we are expecting severe storms tomorrow...Sunday. The day was beautiful, sunny, 80's...and then around 3 pm we are told we are on Tornado watch. So, we pack up, go get some ice-cream and head home. As we were heading home we drove right through a storm...scared the tar out of me! I just happened to be on the phone with my mom at the time (who called to warn us to look out for tornados) and out of the blue lightening starts in...I'm not kidding it looked like it hit the ground right in front of us!!! Then we're driving under a bridge and notice a car stopped under it...so I'm thinking "Tornado!" and next thing the hail starts in (sign of tornados) and everyone is pulling over to the side of the road. So, we pull over and wait for the hail to stop...thought for sure a tornado was coming or someone saw one or something (Bill just thinks people couldn't see through the hail to drive) Either way...too scary!!! But, we made it! After just a couple minutes, it passes and the rest of the drive was a piece of cake...so wierd this weather out here! Our storm alert though had gone off 3 times today and tomorrow's suppose to be worse...might be spending mother's day in our tornado closet!:)

Getting ready for summertime!!!
After church today, our neighbors treated us to Cracker Barrel for lunch. Hannah loves going to Cracker Barrel...she says "Cakabel Cakabel". She loves playing with the toys and stuffed animals, playing with that little triangle peg game they have on the tables, and daddy always lets them get 2 candysticks (those little peppermint sticks that come in many flavors) after they eat. Oh and Pam...they had 2 of your old favorite t.v. show movies there...The Monkies and The Mickey Mouse Club! After naptime, Hannah put on her bathing suit (well, actually I put it on her...she's not quite there yet!) to splash in the sprinkler here on this 86 degree Spring day while her brothers had a game of baseball going on in the culdesac. It's so funny, the boys in our neighborhood "Chelsea Park" are trying to challenge the neighborhood "Rolling Creek" boys down the street to a game. They've been practicing all weekend. The kids are getting ants in their pants for summertime now!
